Race 2 of the Thames Turbo Sprint Series took place in almost ideal conditions with a light wind and no rain. The sun even made a welcome appearance after some of the worst May weather seen for a long time.

  1. Completely echo all the comments made above. This was my first triathlon and couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable and welcoming way to enter this world. The claim of the friendliest marshals I read in the FAQ is completely true – I was stunned when they started to encourage me by name!
The event is also very spectator friendly and my “support team” had a great time too.
Congratulations Thames Turbo on delivering exactly what you intended and making first-timers like me want to come back to triathlon time and time again.
